Matthew J. Pellowski

Director of LAUNCH Softball

Matthew J. Pellowski is a multi-championship-winning girls fastpitch softball coach with nearly a decade of experience developing athletes at the recreational, travel, and club levels. Before transitioning fully into club softball, he helped create the Old Bridge Girls Softball travel program, serving as both a travel head coach and league secretary.

Matthew has coached at the highest levels of club softball with the NJ Batbusters, serving as both a head and assistant coach. Under his leadership, teams captured back-to-back New Jersey State Championships in 2024 and 2025. During the 2025 season, he posted a 76–20–1 record as a head coach and previously led a USSSA Direct Invite team to a first-place championship in Florida in 2023.

Known for building complete programs, Matthew has overseen roster construction, recruitment, coaching staff management, fundraising initiatives, and long-term player development for athletes ages 8–18. His approach emphasizes structure, accountability, and preparing athletes for the next level both on and off the field.

Most recently, Matthew accepted a coaching position at John Jay College, marking his entry into collegiate coaching and further reinforcing his commitment to player development and competitive excellence.

Akilah Mouzon

Pitching Coach - LAUNCH Clinic Instructor

Akilah Mouzon is a former collegiate pitcher who competed at University of Illinois as a member of the Fighting Illini from 2017 to 2020. Competing in the Big Ten Conference, Akilah was a steady and reliable presence in the circle, bringing consistency, discipline, and competitiveness at the highest level of collegiate softball.

In addition to her performance on the field, Akilah excelled academically, earning recognition as an Easton/NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete and induction into Chi Alpha Sigma, the national collegiate athlete honor society.

As a coach, Akilah brings a technical, athlete-centered approach to pitching development, emphasizing mechanics, mental toughness, and confidence. She is passionate about helping pitchers grow into leaders and competitors who can perform under pressure.

Marisa Orsogna Sudnick

Softball Coach - LAUNCH Clinic Instructor

Marisa Orsogna Sudnick brings over 10 years of coaching experience across multiple levels of softball. A standout athlete at Edison High School, she earned All-Conference, All-Area, and All-State honors during her playing career.

Marisa continued her career at Rutgers University, where she was a four-year Division I letterwinner as an outfielder for the Scarlet Knights and served as team captain during her senior season.

She is currently an assistant coach with the NJ Batbusters 14U team and works full-time as a high school counselor, bringing a unique perspective on athlete development, leadership, and mentorship. Marisa is committed to helping players grow both athletically and personally through the game of softball.
